Longtime industry leader Wade Leslie IV, president and chief executive officer of West Virginia Outdoor Advertising, died at home on November 3. He was 57.

“A great guy who was great for the industry,” summed up Shane Walters of Lamar Advertising Company.

A funeral service was scheduled 2 p.m. Sunday, November 8 at Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, OH, with Frank Williams of West Virginia Outdoor officiating. Click here to view service details and pay tribute to Wade.

“Wade and I worked together at McWhorter Advertising years ago,” recalled Lisa Keefer of Lamar-Huntington/Charleston. “Today is not about the loss of a competitor; we lost a friend whose love for his wife and family and his dedication to his company and our industry were unlimited and unwavering.”

Leslie and his colleagues in West Virginia led the state billboard association for decades.
